Terms and conditions for the Back to School giveaway

1. Organizer

This promotion is organized by Fatbikeskopen.nl B.V., located at Vissenstraat 32, 7324 AL Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 94972427. Hereinafter, Fatbikeskopen.nl B.V. is referred to as the organizer.

2. Promotion period

The promotion runs from 3 August 2026 at 00:00 through 6 September 2026 at 23:59. All times stated are Dutch time.

3. Free gift bundle with purchase

  1. Anyone who purchases a fatbike, e-bike, or electric folding bike during the promotion period via Fatbikeskopen.nl or at a Fatbikeskopen.nl store receives one free gift bundle per bike purchased.
  2. The bundle consists of a Lock-R Basis 3 chain lock worth € 29, a Tracker for iOS and Android worth € 39, and a phone holder worth € 15. The total retail value is € 83.
  3. The gift bundle cannot be exchanged for cash. If a component is demonstrably no longer available, the organizer may replace it with an equivalent or better product at no additional cost.
  4. In the event of complete cancellation or withdrawal from the purchase, the complete gift bundle must also be returned. This is separate from participation in the MacBook Air prize promotion. Cancellation or returning the purchase does not affect participation or the odds of winning.

4. Who may participate in the prize promotion?

  1. Participation is open to individuals aged 18 or older who reside in the Netherlands at the time of participation.
  2. Employees of the organizer, persons professionally directly involved in this promotion, and members of their households are excluded from participation.
  3. Participation by companies or using fictitious, incomplete, or misleading information is invalid.

5. How does participation work?

Participation is free. There are two equivalent ways to participate:

  1. With purchase: an adult customer in whose name a fatbike, e-bike, or electric folding bike is ordered from Fatbikeskopen.nl during the promotion period automatically participates once. The prices of the bikes have not been increased because of the promotion. A participant may withdraw before the end of the promotion period via info@fatbikeskopen.nl.
  2. Without purchase: you can participate free of charge via the entry pop-up on Fatbikeskopen.nl. The pop-up is accessible throughout the entire promotion period and can be reopened after closing via the visible Enter for free button or link on the promotion page. No purchase, payment, or newsletter subscription is required. Any newsletter checkbox is separate and optional.
  3. Both methods are included in the same draw and offer the same odds of winning. A purchase does not provide additional or better odds of winning.
  4. Each person may participate a maximum of once, regardless of the chosen method and regardless of the number of purchases. Anyone who participates through both methods retains one valid entry. The organizer may deduplicate entries based on email address, name, and postal code.
  5. Cancellation, withdrawal, or return of a purchase does not affect participation in the promotion.

6. The Prize

  1. There is one prize: a new 2026 Apple MacBook Air 13-inch with an M5 chip, 10-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16 GB of memory, and 512 GB of SSD storage, in Midnight. The retail value on the promotion start date is € 1,429.
  2. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash. If this exact version can demonstrably no longer be delivered, the winner will receive, at no additional cost, a MacBook Air with at least equivalent specifications and at least the same retail value.
  3. The organizer will pay the standard delivery costs within the Netherlands. Delivery will be coordinated with the winner and will take place no later than 30 calendar days after valid acceptance of the prize.

7. Draw and Announcement

  1. On 8 September 2026, one random draw will be held from all valid, deduplicated entries from both entry routes.
  2. The draw will be conducted using a computer program that selects randomly, in the presence of an independent person with no direct interest in the outcome. The participant list, procedure, and result will be recorded so that impartiality can be demonstrated.
  3. The provisionally selected winner will be notified personally by 10 September 2026 at the latest via the email address known to Fatbikeskopen.nl. The organizer will never ask for payment to receive the prize.
  4. The selected winner must respond within seven calendar days and, if requested, be able to prove their age, identity, and place of residence. Non-essential information on an identity document may be covered. The organizer will not retain a copy of the identity document.
  5. If the selected winner does not respond in time, does not meet these terms, or the entry proves invalid, a new draw will be held in the same impartial manner.
  6. The result will be announced on the promotion page by 30 September 2026 at the latest, using as little personal data as possible. In principle, only the first name, first letter of the surname, and town or city of residence will be stated. In the event of a legitimate privacy objection, the organizer will use an anonymized participant code.

8. Gambling Tax

The organizer files the return for the gambling tax due, pays it, and bears the full cost. The winner does not have to pay the organizer any gambling tax to receive the MacBook Air.

9. Photos, Videos and Publicity

The organizer may ask the winner to cooperate in a photo or video of the prize presentation for publication on, for example, the website and social media. Cooperation is voluntary and requires separate consent. Refusal has no effect on the right to the prize.

10. Personal data

  1. The organizer processes personal data only to administer and monitor the prize draw, contact the winner, award the prize, handle questions or complaints, and comply with legal obligations.
  2. Data collected for this prize draw will not be used for marketing unless the participant has given separate consent, for example via a separate newsletter checkbox.
  3. Data of non-winners will be deleted no later than six months after the promotion has ended. Data required for draw administration, tax administration, or handling a dispute will be retained only for the applicable statutory or necessary retention period.

11. Apple disclaimer

Apple is not a sponsor of this promotion and is in no way involved in it. The promotion is not organized, supported, conducted, or managed by Apple. Apple is not responsible for the promotion, the draw, or the awarding of the prize. Apple, MacBook Air, and the associated marks and logos are trademarks of Apple Inc.

12. Fair execution

  1. This promotion is a small promotional game of chance within the meaning of the Code of Conduct for Promotional Games of Chance. Participation is free, and the total value of the prize package remains below €4,500.
  2. The promotion is intended to promote Fatbikeskopen.nl and is not an independent gambling activity.
  3. The organizer will actually award the announced prize and can, upon request, explain how the draw and prize awarding are conducted.

13. Questions and complaints

Questions or complaints about the promotion can be sent to info@fatbikeskopen.nl, stating Back to School prize draw. Include your name, contact details, and a clear description of your question or complaint. The organizer will confirm receipt and provide a substantive response within 14 calendar days.

14. Amendments and applicable law

  1. The organizer will amend these terms during the promotion only if necessary due to legal requirements or circumstances beyond its reasonable control. An amendment will never disadvantage participants. The announced prize will be awarded in all cases.
  2. This promotion is subject to Dutch law. Mandatory consumer rights always remain in force.
