The Fiido C11 Pro is the version of the C11 with a torque sensor, and that is the main difference from the regular C11. A torque sensor measures how hard you pedal and doses the motor accordingly, instead of kicking in as soon as the pedals turn. It feels more like riding with a tailwind. Otherwise this is a light city bike on 28 inch wheels with a low step. Below: the difference with the C11, the range and the rules.

Difference between the Fiido C11 and the C11 Pro

The difference is the sensor. The Pro has a Mivice torque sensor, the regular C11 a speed sensor that only registers that you are pedalling. You notice it mainly when pulling away and at junctions: the Pro picks up gradually, the C11 kicks in in steps. Battery, motor and brakes are the same on both: a removable 499 Wh battery, a 250 watt motor with 55 Nm and dual-piston hydraulic disc brakes. According to Fiido the Pro has an IP54 rating against splashing water and dust. If you ride through the city every day with lots of traffic lights, you will feel the difference on every ride. If you mostly ride long straight stretches, the C11 is fine.

Range of the Fiido C11 Pro

Fiido states up to 104 kilometres in the most economical mode. In Turbo mode Fiido reached about 80 kilometres in its own city test. With a headwind and a bag on the rack you will get less. For commutes of a few kilometres you do not need to charge every day. The battery is removable and full in about five hours, so you can charge it indoors while the bike stays outside.

Is the Fiido C11 Pro legal in the Netherlands?

Yes, as an electric bicycle. The motor delivers 250 watts and the assistance stops at 25 km/h. On the handlebar there is a walk assist that pushes up to 6 km/h while you walk next to the bike, and that is allowed. You do not need a number plate or a driving licence. Better not tune it: then it is no longer a regular electric bicycle and you cannot simply ride it on the road.

Riding on 28 inch wheels with a low step

Large wheels roll easily over long stretches, and you do not often see a low step combined with that. At the front there is a suspension fork with 40 mm travel, the rear is unsuspended. At 24.5 kilos including battery, according to Fiido, you can still lift it onto a kerb. Shimano 7 gears and 700x40C tyres, which according to Fiido are puncture resistant.

Who is the Fiido C11 Pro for?

According to our specifications the frame fits riders from about 1.70 to 2.05 metres. The total weight may be 120 kilos, luggage included. If you are shorter than 1.70 metres, look at another model. The bike is made for paved roads. If you want to go on a heavily loaded trip, a bike with a sturdier rack suits you better.
