The grey Hitway H10 is the understated version alongside the red one. The 48V battery with 20.8 ampere-hours provides 998 watt-hours, exceptionally high for a scooter. The stated range is up to 90 kilometers. On a large enclosed site where you ride back and forth all day, that means you will not need to stop and charge halfway through. Charging takes five to seven hours, so you connect it to the charger at the end of the day. For a holiday park or business premises, that range is more than sufficient. You can charge it from a standard wall outlet, so no separate setup is needed. A battery will last longer if you do not routinely drain it completely and charge it indoors during the winter.

Dual suspension and pneumatic tires

The front and rear suspension really makes a difference on a scooter with 10-inch wheels: small wheels transmit every bump right up to your knees. The 10-inch pneumatic tires have puncture protection, so a nail or piece of glass on the road won't leave you stranded. Braking is handled by mechanical disc brakes front and rear. They require a little more squeezing force than hydraulic brakes, but are easier to adjust and maintain. Check the brake lever reach when it is delivered; you can adjust it in a few seconds. The brake pads and discs use standard sizes, so they can be replaced at any service center. The rear light also functions as a brake light: it shines brighter as soon as you brake, making it easier for people behind you to see that you are slowing down.

Folding and weight

The H10 folds up so it fits in a car trunk or camper van. At just over 29 kilos, it is heavy for a scooter: you need both hands to lift it, and it is not something to handle casually. It works well for transport between your home and a vacation destination, but lifting it in and out of a car every day is strenuous. Keep that in mind if you often need to move it instead of using it in one fixed location.

Who this version is for

For use on a large enclosed site, in a color that is less conspicuous than red. Its combination of long range and dual suspension makes it suitable for long distances at campsites, holiday parks, and business premises. What you should not do with it is ride on public roads to work or the shops. If you want to do that, look at an RDW-approved model from our range.
