Light grey is the softest of the three colors in which we sell the S20 Pro. While black gives the bike a solid appearance and dark grey sits somewhere in between, light grey makes the frame look slimmer and draws more attention to the thick tires and suspension. Technically, nothing changes: the same 864 Wh battery, the same dual rear suspension, and the same hydraulic brakes. Here, you are choosing based on appearance. We keep getting the same questions about the bike itself, the difference from the V20, the range, and that lever on the handlebars. They are answered below.

Difference between the S20 Pro and the V20

The similarities are significant: 20-inch fatbike tires, a 250 W motor, and hydraulic brakes. The S20 Pro differs in its battery and rear suspension. It has a 48 V 18 Ah battery, or 864 Wh, which is more than most V20 versions come with, and the rear uses a dual suspension system instead of a single element. You notice the difference most clearly with a passenger on the back. If you are mainly looking for the familiar V20 appearance, you get the same shape here in a more robust version.

Range of the S20 Pro in light grey

The stated range is 60 kilometers. For an 864 Wh battery, that is a cautious estimate, which is reassuring because it means you can achieve that range in practice. If you ride economically and mostly on flat terrain, you can go beyond it. A full charge takes six hours, so this is a bike to leave charging overnight. You can remove the battery and take it indoors, which is useful if the bike is parked outside or in a shed without electricity. If you often ride with a passenger on the back, it is best to take into account that the range will be noticeably shorter.

The throttle up to 6 km/h

The control on the handlebars is a walking-assistance function, not a real throttle. The bike moves forward automatically at up to 6 kilometers per hour, allowing you to walk alongside it, for example up a slope or out of a bike storage area. Above that speed, you must pedal, keeping the S20 Pro within the Dutch regulations for electric bicycles. At 35 kilograms, this function is more important in practice than it may seem on paper, especially when maneuvering in a crowded bike storage area.

Brakes, suspension, and security

There are hydraulic disc brakes at the front and rear, in an improved version compared with earlier models. Full suspension, with that dual element at the rear. The wide 20-inch tires handle loose paving tiles and cobblestones with ease. Instead of a key, you start it with an NFC chip, so there is nothing to lose and the ignition cannot be bypassed. The lights are permanently mounted at the front and rear, so there are no separate lamps to forget. The brake pads and discs use standard sizes, so they can be replaced at any service point without waiting for parts.

Who is the light-gray S20 Pro for?

Two people can ride along, and the recommended rider height is approximately 1.50 to 1.95 meters, with a maximum total weight of 150 kilograms. This makes the model suitable for a broad range of riders. Two things to consider beforehand: the step-through height is high, so you have to swing your leg over the frame, and you cannot easily carry 35 kilograms up a flight of stairs. If you can only store it upstairs or frequently need to lift the bike, a lighter model or a folding bike may be a better choice. If you mainly ride short distances to school or work on paved roads, this model is more than adequately equipped.
