Matte army green gives the Puch E-Nova a subdued, almost military appearance that you rarely see on city bikes. This version has a high 55-centimeter frame, so you swing your leg over the frame instead of stepping through it. The bike itself is designed for comfort: a 748 watt-hour battery, a stated range of up to 160 kilometers, a Bafang Dual Drive motor, and hydraulic disc brakes on 28-inch wheels.

Range of the Puch E-Nova

The battery has a capacity of 748 watt-hours, which is substantial for a city bike, where 500 to 600 is more common. The 160-kilometer range applies in the lowest assistance mode on flat terrain without wind, so it is an upper limit. In the highest assistance mode with luggage, you will get closer to eighty kilometers. For someone who rides ten kilometers each way to work every day, that still means approximately one charge per week. A full charge takes six hours, so you can do it while you sleep. You charge it from a regular wall socket, so you do not need any special equipment.
